Listed in Festival of Frugality #118: ABC Edition

Our article, “Farmer’s Market,” was listed in the Festival of Frugality #118: ABC Edition on My Dollar Plan.

There are lots of great frugal articles listed in the Festival. Financegirl’s When I’m Debt-Free, I’m Buying the Expensive Toilet Paper!post asks the question, “What ‘essentials’ do you have that need to be re-evaluated?” Then again, she thinks Charmin toilet paper is cheap. I always thought it was expensive. I’ve never heard of Cottonelle Ultra TP. :-)

Ron at the Wisdom Journal has 5 Ways I Plan To Survive The Recession. I especially like his number 2 way: I will survive the recession by increasing my value to my company. One of the most important things you can do in your career is make yourself indispensable.

Paid Twice has a good frugal tip that we practice all the time in, “My Frugal Travel Tip ~ Pack Your Own Snacks.” My wife and I both picked that up from our respective parents. We even managed to do Disneyland on the cheap several years ago by buying groceries for all lunches at a local Anaheim supermarket and keeping them in the motel refrigerator. We then want back to the motel for every lunch, took a nap, and then went back to the park feeling refreshed until late in the evening.

Nickel has some good tips in Save Money by Fixing Things Yourself. I like the Do It Yourself link that is provided in the article.

If you are into learning ways to be frugal, please check out the rest of the posts in the Festival. I am sure you will find something new.

Thanks for the mention. If you think Charmin is expensive, you should try Cottonelle Ultra sometime – it will blow your mind! :)

Hey, thanks for mentioning and linking to my article.
I agree about working to make yourself indispensable. It’s important to become a valuable person to others in your organization.
