See Your Dentist Before the New Year
If you have a dental plan that resets coverage at the New Year, now is a perfect time to get that final checkup or dental work you have been putting off. This assumes you have not hit the annual coverage limit.
Some years ago, I needed some major dental surgery that maxed out my coverage. I was then hesitant to go to the dentist until my coverage reset at the New Year. Now, I try to visit the dentist at the end of the year so that I won’t use up next year’s insured coverage before the year ends.
If you have a high-deductible medical insurance plan and you have met the deductible for this year, now is also a good time to get an annual checkup for yourself or any other members of your family who are covered. Since you have met the deductible, your medical procedures should be covered at no additional cost until your coverage resets at the New Year. (You should check your plan to make sure of the reset date.)
There may be other insured procedures or claims you might want to make before the New Year, such as optometry or even homeowner’s claims. Check your policies to see when they reset.

Tom:
Something like this happened to me before. I had dental insurance and right when it ended from my previous employer, I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out
Talk about perfect timing, haha.
