Our article, Things to Do in Our Lifetime, was listed in the Festival of Frugality #129 – Try a Little Harder This Week Edition. I constantly pick up new frugal ideas at thie Festival. Some that I especially liked

What Will You Do If Gas Prices Go… Down? by FinancialRamblings.com. The is a great article reminding us that we need to continue to be frugal, even if fuel prices drop. Not only will prices eventually go back up, but it is better for the environment and our savings if we continue to conserve. This thought can be carried over to more than just fuel conservation. We can use this same attitude toward other things. In other words, don’t waste, conserve, recycle, and save.

43 Things To Do When You Stop Watching Television at Balanced Life Center. I would add a couple more things:

  1. Learn to play an instrument. Before television and radio, people would entertain each other with recitals and falk singing. Wouldn’t that be a great thing to bring back?
  2. Visit friends or have friends visit you. Let’s invite people over and have a good chat.

How to Extend The Life of Garden Tools at Gardener’s Tips. These are all great tips that my Dad taught me. (I have to admit I have left garden tools outside and then become upset when I found them rusted and beyond repair.)

Is it Cool to be Frugal? 10 Frugal Practices You’ve Always Done That Are Now “In” Again at Think Your Way to Wealth. The 10th “practice” is totally me. I drove my last truck into the ground with 265,000 miles on it. The motorcycle I commute on is 22 years old. Even my bicycle is 20 years old. I like to drive/ride “beaters.”
